South East Region Dressage Winter Schedule 2011/2012

Entry Fees:
Dressage Ireland members:
€20 for the first test
€15 for subsequent tests per horse/pony
Therefore if you enter 2 horses in two classes each the entry fee is €70.
(Please ensure that you send the correct entry fee)
Junior Riders:
(under 18 on 01.01.2012)
€15 for the first test (plus €5 per show if non member)
€10 for subsequent tests per horse/pony.
Therefore if you enter 2 horses/ponies in two classes each the entry fee is €50.

Non members:
€20 per test
plus €5 temporary membership per rider per show.
All entries must be pre-paid by post on DI entry forms with registration numbers.
Please make cheques out to South East Region, Dressage Ireland.
Young Horses Classes:
This winter we will hold young horse classes for 4 and 5 year olds. Please state your horse’s age on the entry form.
Sportsman’s classes will be run at all shows, just state on your entry form that you wish to enter the Sportsman section.
Tests as per National Championships.
Regional Winter Finals:
To qualify for the regional championships, a horse/rider combination must compete at 2 show plus finals, with minimum 60% in one show at appropriate grade.
- SER trophies are confined to SER members.
- Horse and rider combination must be registered at time of qualification.
- Regional Finals are open to all not just SER members.
- The second test listed at each level will be the championship test.
- Classes above Medium will be combined into an Advanced Championship with the best % claiming the title of Advanced Champion.
- Due to very small entries in Young Horse Classes there will not be a Young Horse Championship.
- Special classes such as Freestyle and Under 12 are not championship classes.
- Junior riders will compete throughout the season for the title of Junior Champion, this will be decided as follows, at each show each Junior will compete in there own class at which ever level they compete, points will be awarded as follows:

These points will be recorded throughout the Winter Season and the winner will receive a training bursary, in the event of a tie, the highest % recorded during the season will be the deciding factor.
Please state on your entry form if you wish to be entered for the Junior championship and state D.O.B. also.
Please check eligibility for championships prior to finals.
No whips or commanders are allowed for championship tests which are listed as follows, this applies to all competitors in championship classes including those who are not eligible for the championship or from outside the region.
